In February 2015, we went to Calais with three friends. At this moment, a lot of informal camps were scattered all over the city and thousands of migrants were already spending a cold winter in really precarious conditions. The Jungle was not existing yet and each camp represented a different community. During the days we spent there, we stayed most of our time at the Soudanese camp, just next to the highway, where the many lorries on their way to England passed by. Their only tomorrow, their only hope to leave this temporary place, a place from which one departs, constantly.
